Welcome to freshmeat.net's user support site. If you're having trouble with something on freshmeat, we'll do our best to help.

Please start by doing the following:

  1. Take a look at our list of Frequently Asked Questions. If yours is a common concern, you may find instant gratification there.
  2. See the public discussions between the staff and other members. We may have already been alerted to a problem and be working on it. You can add further information if necessary, or subscribe to an RSS feed to receive notifications on the status of the issue.
  3. Try the search box at the top of the page. It may turn up a useful FAQ or discussion you missed.

If you don't find what you need, you can start a discussion using the link at the bottom of the page. If you have a problem that only concerns you or your freshmeat account, please log in so you can create a private discussion that can only be seen by the staff and yourself.

Please Note: Since we've just launched a new version of freshmeat, we expect to be receiving an unusually large number of requests here. A few things to remember:

  1. scoop posted an article detailing what still remains to be done on the new site. Please read it first so you know what we know about what's not in place yet.
  2. We're still building the FAQ section, so you may not see everything that should be there yet.
  3. If you've seen a truly glaring problem, there's a very good chance 10,000 other people saw it, as well. Remember to see the currently open discussions and check to see whether we're already on top of it.
  4. Remember that we opened the new site for beta testing at the beginning of February and reminded you about it in five articles detailing what we were doing and why. Try to limit your comments to things you couldn't have told us over the last six weeks.
